Can't wait for some cross breeds this Spring! I've got a handsome Speckled Sussex rooster with lots of different ladies, like Buff Orps, Australorps, EEs, Golden Laced, Silver Laced, and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, Blue Partridge Silkies, Red Sex Links, Black Sex Link, Amber Link, Barred Rock, Rhode Island Red, and a Leghorn! Going to be some pretty babies!

I bought these girls today. The two lighter colored ones are a cross between Rhode Island Red hens and a barred rock rooster.

I have had this hen since the summer and it is a cross breed. I would really like to know what she was crossed with because we know the rooster was a Spanish type but we don't know about the type of hen. Is there a special way you can tell or do you guys know?
