I'm a new member. I'm trying to find out if two of our chickens are Cuckoo Marans (I think ones a male and the other is female - but not sure). We've only been raising chickens since March when our seven year old asked her dad for chickens. He bought her four and now we have six. The two newest were hatched in her 1st grade class (May 17th or so). I've tried to copy and paste a picture but no success. Can anyone help?

Second-- I don't know much about Cuckoo Marans.
Third-- as far as posting pics check this out. And yes it does get easier with time.

In your avatar, it looks like you are holding cuckoo marans.

Thank you both for answering! I really appreciate it.

Here's a couple other pictures. These were taken about three weeks ago, aroung the first week of August. They were born around the 17th of May. The light one is a male. He's been making some strange noises trying to crow. funny to watch and hear.

I would have thought the darker one was a cuckoo maran (did not know about the yellow legs & feet distinction).
