Price only gets to be a large factor when you need much of it. If you are trying to build a run, may I suggest using Chain link fencing. I myself am Budget minded, so would suggest looking for deals on Craig's list for those that have overstock, used, or extra leftovers from jobs. If you intend to bury on the perimeter of run, opt for galvanized , or vinyl coated. Will last longer. If you need HC to protect windows or other opening like at the eves, go with the 1/2 inch galvanized and secure to wood frame well.
WISHING YOU BEST and

I am finally at the point of purchasing my Hardware Cloth and Welded Wire. Anyone recently make a purchase and can share where they found the best prices? Looks like so far I have found a good deal at Menards for hardware cloth and Home Depot for the welded wire. Just wondering if there is anything else out there?

Im in the same boat as you. Just got my peepers yesterday and need to finish the coopNrun in the next week or two. I was looking for about a week trying to find the best price on hardware cloth because I am going to cover my coopNrun in it and didn't want to take a loan out! :)

Best price I could find was at Zoro. $65 for 1/2" 4' x 50' - Free Shipping!

If I recall correctly I found some slightly cheaper elsewhere but shipping was astronomical.

I don't have the run framing built yet so I don't know how much I need, plus I wanted to find out the time to ship & quality before I bought a ton of it. I ordered it Thursday, and supposedly it will be delivered Monday (North West Coast shipping to SoCal) shipped via UPS ground.

I'd never heard of Zoro before so I did some googling. Apparently they are owned by grainger (a big supply house). You can buy the same thing from grainger for almost double the cost https://www.grainger.com/product/GRAINGER-APPROVED-Hardware-Cloth-4LVE8

Normally at $65 Zoro would be slightly cheaper then Menards, but I just looked and Menards has it on sale for $28 for a couple weeks ($56 for 50' is $9 cheaper!!!!!).. Soo looks like I need to find out if Menards ships free (none near me)!!!

No free shipping from Menards and the shipping cost looks to be the same price as what I'd save on the sale price..

Looks like Zoro is still my best option.

I've never heard of ZORO, but I'm glad I have now! I'm probably going to get mine through menards, it's a pretty good sale right now, and we have a store 20 minutes away. I heard through the grapevine, (the guy working in lumber, we've spent A LOT of time at menards this week) that they're supposed to having a storewide sale in a couple weeks, if you could wait that long.

Well, crap. Do they even make 1/4" hardware cloth in 19 GA wire? I can't find it, if they do. We don't have a whole lot of coons where we are, though, so I'll probably use it. I am also running a line of electric wire 6", 24" and 48" off the ground. The bears around here scare me more.

I happened upon ZORO via a random Ebay purchase, they happen to be local to me and they literally delivered my Ebay purchase the same day out of the back of a minivan, totally caught me off guard... They followed up by mailing me their catalog and they have decent prices on a lot of hardware type items...

If you can wait and need it local that is a good idea, Menards has rolling 11% off weeks all year and generally at least once a month this time of year for spring...
