Update: it was gone this morning so definitely the crop! Thanks everyone. Is there anything I should watch for though in the future with this. Or just let it do its thing?? I've just never noticed my other ladies doing this

It was probably just a hungry baby, so she ate too much but it shouldn't really be anything for the future, just keep an eye out for anything too too abnormal

I used to use a heat bulb in my outdoor brooder. I'd see them up chasing bugs at all hours because the light attracted them and then they slept a good bit more than my chicks raised without a bulb do during the day. So, yours might take longer naps when there isn't activity in the room but I'm sure it's still napping around the clock.
