Dead chick

I ran to my moms house to pick up some mail and one of my two week olds were found dead
The baby had been acting normal but in death liquid was coming out of her mouth

So sorry! Chickens try hard to act healthy as long as possible, so it can be hard to tell sometimes. Dip the body in cold water to chill it, then wrap it in plastic, and put her in the refrigerator, for up to five or six days. If more chicks get sick or die, you may want to have them necropsied to figure out what is wrong. If only one bird has died, all may be well. Good luck, Mary
