I have loved following along with this thread. I love the personality of all Nambroth's chickens and her obvious love and care for them. My six year old daughter have laughed and shed tears throughout the stories. I finally decided to comment, haha. So hello! We actually had a Faverolle come as our free exotic from McMurray. We love him. He's a weirdo.


I wanted to introduce Balthazar, our Favorolle (hope that's okay

). He's a bit special.

This is his best friend, Iorek (a roo).

Balthazar likes to follow Iorek around and groom Iorek's lustrous top knot. Iorek, in turn, preens Balthazar's beard. They're having a bromance. It's seriously adorable.

ETA: These pictures are a few weeks old, so both the beard and top knot have feathered out to be more spectacular. My one regret with these boys is that I didn't name them Legolas and Gimli.
