Sorry the little one couldn't make it...it is a kind thing, however, that we can save our animal friends from suffering needlessly when no treatment will help.

I just have no companions for this little one, even if I decided to allow her to stay and hope the leg would "get right" somehow. Raising a single chick is not the best thing.

I don't have any little guys for a companion either! I have all bantam cochins and my last girl "Doodlebug" is 2 months old now....and thinks she a big girl! oops I forgot my Silkie Roo!
Yes, I meant the PocketPooper baby. We are having a harder time letting go than with any other chick we had to put down for whatever reason. I guess we can just keep medicating it for pain and hope the joint gets stronger or less painful. Tough one, the chick and the decision.
