Dimmer switch on heat lamp?

Can I wire a heat lamp to this type of dimmer switch?

Most likely YES, but I do not know very much more about your switch. On the switch body there will be some engraved or embossed writing. It will say something like 120/240 volts AC, maximum watts 600. or something similar. The watts is what is important. As long as your heat lamp is lower watts than switch, then ALL IS GOOD. Check what your switch says.
