This is my 6 month old bird. It has fanned a few times, which makes me lean towards male. It don't have even a hint of a spur, but may be too young for that. I can't be sure it is larger than my hen. But I lean towards it's legs maybe being a bit longer and a bit thicker than my hen.
I free range my peafowl during the summer and put them up in the late fall til early Spring. This bird is housed separate from others. I tried putting it in with the others for 24 hrs. last fall and it was scared. I have 3 adult blue males and 1 adult blue hen, who had some whites in her lineage. This bird has been solid white. Your thoughts on gender?
