Does lime wash need to be dry before birds can go in?

I finished lime washing the coop tonight. After about an hour it is still quite damp. There is little breeze tonight to dry it and we have no fan.

I'd love to get the poor girls out of their box and into the coop tonight. Will the wet lime hurt them? I can't find anything on line that points to it hurting them. It should be OK to put them out there tonight shouldn't it?

Im not sure, something tells me its caustic when wet...?

kind of late, but no I would not put them out in it if it is still wet, it is caustic.
