Does Winter Rye work for fodder?

I just bought winter rye today to grow as fodder. right now I am growing boss.

Let me know how the winter rye works out. I bought 50 lbs of wheat and have been sprouting that. I think I'll start mixing them now that the outdoor greenery is dwindling.
