If you want to be predator proof cover it all the way and make sure it is securely attached to the fencing.

we recently did our own diy large duck coop 9 or so months ago and decided to use a concrete slab to make it critter proof and hardware cloth for the coop walls, we have a vid on youtube which shows how we did it if you think it may be helpful to you. It's been great and we haven't hit our heads once. . We built it a little bit different to how we built our chicken coop.

Hello, everyone!I am going to get 2 more Muscovy ducks in the next few weeks to add to my little gang, and I want to make a larger full-time enclosure than the one they currently have.If anyone has a large duck coop, I would love it if you could upload some photos of your duck coops as inspiration for me.Thanks! X
(there will be 5 muscovies so it needs to be decent size)

This is one Idea I have found, but ideally I would like one a bit bigger!

This was my duck coop setup a few years ago. There was / is a tiny flowing "pond" just outside it, but no run.
They used to put themselves in at night and I would then close the ramp/door.
These days they prefer to stay in the extra chicken run year-round during the night.
