I noticed this morning that something popped out of my pet duck when it was going to the toilet. It's out quite a way and even if he manages to retract it, he is still out of his body a little. It's autumn in the southern hemisphere and there aren't any female ducks around (only have 2 drakes). He also isn't off his food (he is a bit of a glutton) but I'm a bit concerned about it getting infected. Does this call for a trip to the vet, since he doesn't seem to be able to retract it himself.
