I helped hatch this little guy he was shrink wrapped I opened some parts and let him push out which he did considering he was so weak. He hatched yesterday around 6pm today at 12 noon I moved him with the rest of the flock since he was all alone inside incubator and was weak I hoped hearing others would give him strength.
His eyes are shut and he can't walk on his feet. I applied some coconut oil around his eyes and some water but eyes are still crispy from being shrink wrapped.
What should I do do to help him gain strength and walk and see hopefully?

How is your duckling?

I don't know much about ducks, but I'd clean the eyes with saline, take a soft toothbrush and very gently brush/wipe the down around the head/face and body to help free it up and get some of the dried/shrink wrapped material off.

Were the legs sticky too? He may need the legs washed as well. Make sure you don't chill the little one, dry him with a hairdryer and see that he's able to get back under the lamp.

Hopefully others that keep ducklings can chime in with some suggestions.
