Ear Infection?

Hi everyone,

This particular month-old chick has caused problems before (see my 'pasty butt' post a few weeks ago

). She's always made more noise than the others, but this morning I noticed that she is screeching more than normal and the feathers near her right ear are wet and discolored. Does this look like some sort of ear infection, and if so does anyone have suggested remedies?

Look like some of the other birds may have been pecking at it.

Thanks Wes... she seems to be the runt of the flock anyway. Should I keep her separated for a few days?

It's best to keep her away from the others for now. They will just keep picking and picking. Or you can put a red light in their brooder to keep the wound from being so obvious to the pickers.
