Thank you, Calla. Yes, it helps very much. So far, I’ve only found one academic text on this; but – meaning no disrespect to the academic – what he observed (in a zoo in 1960) doesn’t correspond with what I see around me.
So look at it this way: you and the others here at BYC are providing me with data that we could hardly get anywhere else in the world. (I doubt if commercial emu-farmers observe their birds closely enough.)
