Hi I've got a coturnix Quail in my tiny flock of 5, 4 females and their beau, one of them keeps laying an egg with no shell? She does it around once per week. Is this a nutrition thing or could she just be getting old? She's on a good game bird feed with the rest and gets her veg scraps and pea shoots etc. Also going to start feeding some chick pea sprouts after next grocery shop see if they like that....

Any calcium supplement? I think you're over doing the treats, which can affect reproductive cycles
Oh they don't get those every single day. They get one pack of pea shoots per week. There's only 4 females and a male. They get a ras or straw when there's one left over lol.

Aside from this one occasional shell less egg they lay every day. They're fantastic.
