Emergency duck injury

He is 4 months old. He is my stubborn baby but love him to death. The vet said his wound is looking better i think so too.

Looks like the OP hasn’t returned since posting this thread. :(

Can you post some pics of yours? And is a vet a possibility?
Unfortunately an avian vet would cost way too much to just walk in the door. I called to see what I should do when it happened and unfortunately the pricing is outrageously out of my availability. She’s definitely trying to hang in and doing better. Eating a little bit and quacking now. But today her eyes suddenly are not rite and it looks like they are infected. I’m just not sure what to even do at this point

How precious. I suspect she will have ups and downs, good days and bad. But they have amazing healing abilities.

You can use a saline solution to rinse her eye, or there are also some products available like Vetericyn that can help. TSC and such places carry it.

If you have a scale, I’d also suggest weighing her occasionally, just to keep a monitor on whether she is maintaining her weight.
