EMERGENCY-FOUND ROOSTER WITH INJURED FOOT FT. WORTH AREA

Hello all~
My daughter who is in college just called me- she and some friends are in Ft. Worth, TX and found a rooster with an injured foot. She obviously cannot take it to campus housing back in Arlington. She is trying to figure out who to call. Local wildlife rescue directs her to website. She is concerned that animal control will put it down but I think that may be her only option. Can someone advise please?

Thanks. I wish I had thought of that last night. I'll remember for next time. They ended up having to leave the poor guy there. She at least gave him water. When she went back, he wasn't there so perhaps he got himself to a safer place for the night. I'm proud of my daughter for caring. She said that no one would take her seriously in terms of trying to help.
