I left the door to the goose coop open when we got the weather alert. Should I lock them in or just let them make their choice?

I'd lock them in if it was me. Especially if the coop is secure. But I've only gotten a warning once, so maybe you want to take advice with someone with more experience.

Yes and I know this because mine did. I get them going through our town all the time. I live in tornado alley.

I don't know how much time you have between the warning and the actual dangerous conditions, but you should definitely choose your own safety first.

I cannot say what will be better for your geese, but don't endanger yourself by trying to change it in dangerous conditions. This is not just selfishness, because if you keep yourself safe you are better able to care for the geese tomorrow and in the future.

There in a large 8x12 dog kennel with siding but it's not anchored to the ground. I have no garage or cellar we may all be in the hallway
