There was an Emu on the loose for 10 days. And the city animal control kept calling for help to have it removed. So eventually, we made a plan and kind of herded the bird into a yard. It walked calmly until it came up against the net, then sort of started pacing back and forth, but no running. Two of us closed in and we put a hat of the birds head. As soon as we laid hands on the emu, it went limp. the bird never ran, or put up a fight. It was against the net for less than 20 seconds before the being "hatted" and going limp. Are emus this prone to heart attacks? Everyone warned me to be careful about getting our butts kicked. I surely did not get the impression they were prone to fainting or heart conditions!
