My beautiful falb fee that I just posted about has gone missing. My mom was taking care of them while I was away. Literally yesterday the same thing happened (she left the door unlocked and they got out) but she found both of them. I’m upset she didn’t learn her lesson. Anyways, this morning she came to see that two were missing again, and she found one pretty close to the coop. I can’t find the other.
This sucks for many reasons including:
  1. She’s bottom of the pecking order, no reason for her to come back
  2. She’s my favorite
  3. She’s small and could fit through the fences around my property
  4. Our property is big, so many hiding spots and camouflage
  5. She’s hard to spot
  6. We don’t know how long she’s been out/how far she could’ve gone (we know its been before 10:30 this morning)
  7. I was already depressed
Do you guys have any tips or tricks on how to find her? I know it’s very unlikely that we will, but it’s best to try right? Also, I assumed that we would see feathers if something had gotten her, but since she’s so small do you think this is true? We do have hawks, coyotes, raccoons and others in the area.

Good luck. I had a male fly into the neighbors’ yard and came back a few hours later. But...if you found feathers, its probably not a good sign. :(
