Yes, hens can have large combs, but I believe all cockerels at this age have larger and redder combs than the females.Oh.
But, a lot of my hens have huge combs, wattles, better spurs than the roosters, etc.

As adults, yes many hens have those traits. But at age 6 weeks, pullets have small pale combs & wattles, even if they will have big red ones at maturity. The redness of the comb and wattles make me quite sure the bird in this thread is a male.
