Feeding for blue eggs

I was wondering if feeding my EE's and Ameraucana chickens blueberries will help produce bluer & greener eggs?

The antioxidant in blueberries is responsible for their blue color and I was wondering if it would affect the color of the eggs.

I know that the blue egg is caused at a genetic level but I was just wondering if any foods will help with the color.

I don't think it would, but if you know what shade they lay normally, you could add the supplement and see if it changes

I'm going to try it and see what happens. I was hoping someone already did the experiment and I could save some time lol.

I feed my aquarium fish food that is high in certain ingredients that give fruits and vegetables there color. It makes their colors really bright at breeding time but I know fish are not chickens lol.

At best you'll have blue poop. Mine eat alot of blackberries = purple poop.

Much like eating boo-berrys cereal when I was a kid lol. Oh well at least they will enjoy the treats.
