FEMALE WHITE TURKEY NOT EATING AFTER LA-200 TREATMENT

Hello everyone!
I have a less than a year old female turkey, weights less than 40 lbs that had what I believe a sinus infection, face and eyelids were inflamed and she hid on the kennel on the dark and barely responsive to noises. Gave her 2 injectable 2.5cc doses of LA 200 on her breast and she is doing much better, walking, gobbling, but no eating or drinking by herself. I have made her sort of smoothies with different greens and grains and vitamins so she does not dehydrate, although it takes 2 people and lots of fighting, I manage to chug her with 2 bottles daily. I do not know what else to do. My husband is growing desperate and wants to cull her since bottle feeding her is so difficult. She still hunches her head back, but it is responsive to noise and will walk away from me as needed.

Broad breasted.. meant to be harvested around 16 to 20 wks. If kept on a strict diet they can live longer. Usually they have heart and leg problems. Usually what farm stores sell.

Heritage turkeys can live over a decade.

She survived. She started eating by herself and it is recovering. My flock has a very balanced nutrition. Iam glad my husband did not sacrificed her. She is recovering little by little.

What does BB meat Bird means?

BB = broad breasted. They were developed as a fast growing meat bird meant to be harvested by the time they are 6 months old at the latest. They do not tend to be long lived due to heart and leg issues common in this variety.
