fertile duck eggs???

If I crack open a duck egg, how do you tell if it is fertile? Is it like the white spot on the yolk, in a chicken egg??

Yes, it is the same as a chicken egg. A germinal disc forming a distinct ring indicates fertility. A blurred ring indicates the opposite.
