Having a few ticket items in my "vet bag" and a "Chicken Hospital" are key items I think everyone should consider investing in. Unlike us human's, chickens often hide sickness until it is too late and it breaks my heart when I lose a favourite.. Anyone want to share some tips or must-haves for emergencies?? I'm sure I forgot a few.

Now the most economical way to purchase these item is pick one up at the feed store every time you go to get food. I'd get an old crate from a second hand store or Craigslist and bleach it.

- Lice/mite treatment
- De-Wormer
- Coccidiosis treatment
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Steri-Strips, gauze, pads
- Needle and thread

- Plastic dog/ cat crate
- Chick heat lamp
- plastic Yogurt containers for food and water
- Bedding
