I moved our 8 week old chicks to the coop today! They seem to be doing ok. I've checked on them a few times. The issue is that it's going to get down into the 40's tonight. Should I put a heating pad out there? I'm reluctant to use the heat lamp because of it being a potential fire hazard.

They'll be fine. If their coop has no drafts, they shouldn't get too cold since they create heat and huddle up. They're a good age to handle that type of temperature.
