Flooring or lack of

I just keep thinking of a run I've seen that was built in three sections down a slope. There were ramps going from one level to the next and up to the coop.

You could set a nest box out in the run. Put it up on blocks, and place near to the door to the coop. You might be able to slowly move the box inside that way. Kinda like teaching a cat to go outdoors by moving the sandbox closer and closer to a door to the outside. Pretty soon, the box is outside. Just a thought.

Its my duck, I thought it was one of my hens until I witnessed it. I dont think anything can be done about ducks, I think they just lay where ever they want lol

@Oldstagsarahdell I would try putting 2x8 around it and fill with sand which drains good.
