I have 4 (almost) two week old buff Orpington Chicks that I’d like to differentiate. Would it be ok to do a drop of food coloring (not red) on their chest? If so, do I rub it in until it’s dry? I’ve never raised chicks before, just always had started pullets. They’re in the same tank as two (almost) one week old Wyandotte chicks, a silver laced and a Columbian, and they’re all doing fine. I ordered one of those fancy brooder plates and set it at an angle because of the different sized chicks... anyway, I’m rambling, sorry! If anyone could give me the ok (or not) on the food dye though, that would be great. Thanks!!!
