Food for button quail babies

Does chicken feed work for the calcium? I’m getting quail hatch eggs tomorrow

Quail are not chickens. Chicken feed does not have the nutritional requirements that they need. If you can't find a game bird layer feed (I feed mine a 24% all flock crumble) then you can give them crushed egg shell or oyster shell on the side and they'll eat as much as they need. Just make sure the pieces are small enough for them to eat.
