Maybe this is old news but you can upcycle trashed water jugs into quality barrel funnels.
My local bottled water company has to pay the landfill to get rid of worn out bubbler jugs. They gave me a bunch for free. These things are polycarbonate and in my area are not recyclable. Cutting polycarbonate releases some noxious gases so do it outside on a breezy day.
I used a metal blade in a jig saw, cutting the jugs over my open trash can. A full face plastic visor (cheap one from Harbor Freight) did wonders to keep fresh air at my face while the breeze blew the slight smell "away" (or at least, somewhere else...) A bit of sanding cleaned up the plastic burrs. Works great! Now I can pour into my PVC tube feeder right from the bag without spilling at all.
For water, some window screen and gorilla tape keeps junk out of the reservoir. The only problem with these things is I didn't make them the day I got the birds.
I store them upside down on the water jug. Keeps them clean and keeps the girls off the waterer. YMMV.
