Gee, thanks, grandpa. But it is true, i have an incurable genetic mutation
what's your mutation? 6 fingers?
Amazingly....no.
I have unnaturally loose muscles and ligaments in my hands, knees, and ankles, which is very painful, and (because the issue causes my knees to turn inward) makes me trip rather often.

Youch... Your knees turn inward? I know winces aren't visible via forum, so you'll have to take my word that I definitely cringed when I read that.
As far as ankles go, I'm missing some ligaments. I can do some pretty weird maneuvers with my foot that I didn't actually know were weird until after I sprained my ankle and went to the doctor for it. I guess it runs in the family. My father is the same way.
Have you checked to see if any of your family has some similar oddity?
