frozen eggs

It's funny, what prompted me to read this string is two days ago I was checking the birds before heading to work and we have been in the single digits at night. I opened the coop door and found two eggs under the inside feeder when I picked them up I noticed that one had frozen and cracked about one fourth of the way around. I shrugged and stuck it in my coat pocket. I picked up two others fiddled with the birds checked their food and then went back into the house and reached into my pocket for the eggs and WTH pulled out bright yellow finger tips. It was less than five minutes and mostly out in the 10 degree weather it must have thawed and fell apart in that much time. I hope that will teach me it took a pretty good time to get my pocket cleaned out.
