How is Anne's owner? Poor guy must be completely heart broken with the loss of his wife to let his poor dogs deteriorate like that.
Maybe you could make him a plate of Christmas cookies or something like that if you have any left.
I'm sure he would like to know someone cares about him as much as his dog.

Honestly I don't know how Annie is. She was probably put down... But she will not be going to the owner if she is alive. He doesn't speak much english, but from what the neighbours said, they had another shepard (before the wife passed) that died in a small outdoor kennel.. The people she did go to though, I think would have made the right decision to put her to sleep
