Galvanized waterers

Good question but not to worry. No telling what they drink or eat when they are out free ranging. Chickens can take a lot more than people realize. They can take cold weather better than you think. My Buffs were sitting outside on a post and it was nineteen degrees. They eat just about anything except meat. They are fragile when they are chicks and sickness can spread like wildfire, young and old. My flock was sick for two months till I got them on antibiotics. They do need decent water and coop.
