getting ready to lock down my first set of eggs

So I got my incubator set up, temp is 99 degrees, water in pan on bottom fan is running. I have a question on setting eggs. I didnt collect eggs today from the coop so and Will wait till tommrow to collect so that I will have about 2 dozen is that ok to do or should I collect today and again tommrow. I have broody hens that will sit on them till tommrow. From what I have read that shoud be ok just nervous cuz it will be my first time.

well to my surprise when I went out to check on the coop after the storm the ckI had 2 dozen eggs so lockdown it is. I am super excited for my first batch

leave the hens some to do on they ownabout 3-4 eggs a pice so when yu hatch the babies you can space them out among the henns without over crowinding them
