Going away for the weekend?? 4 wk old chicks

I have 6 3-week-old chicks that are currently housed in a spare bedroom, indoors in a brooder. I have to go away for 2 nights for work. Is it safe to leave them for this time? The chicks will be 4 weeks old when I have to go away, if that makes a difference.

I have a hanging quart waterer with chicken nipple (would probably last them a week but I change it every other day) and I usually only fill up their feeder every 4-5 days.

Besides just hanging out with them for my own enjoyment, they don’t seem to need that much daily maintenance. Is it ok to leave them? Or is it too risky?

I've left my chickens while out a 4 day weekend, just make sure they have plenty of food and water. Important thing is to make sure their water supply can't tip over! With a hanging waterer like what you have, it shouldn't be a problem.

They are babies. I would ask someone to come in once a day at least to check water and feed and make sure all is well.

They *should* be ok but if you have a neighbor or friend that can drop by and double check that the water and food are good, that would be a lot of reassurance.
