Well as many of you know, Silkies have those silly feathered feet, and while they ARE very cute, they are also kinda troublesome for poor Blackie. As I've stated before, he's a house chicken, and spends his time in a generous rabbit cage when he's not outside or roaming my living room.
The problem is, the cage is wire, so I don't want him just walking on that, but I can't seem to find a decent bedding. Right now I'm using this recycled paper stuff, but the problem is, he walks through his poop, and then through the paper, and winds up with paper/poop clumps stuck to his foot-feathers!
Is there anything that can help cut back on his matted foot-feathers?
