I used to have a hen called Meg, and one called Emma (I shortened to Em). The ones I own currently are called: Molly (mol), Iris, violet and Amy. They all know names, but I say cluck cluck cluck to get all there attention. Hope I helped

I like to name my chickens of a certain breed related names. For instance, my Speckled Sussex hens are all named after gemstones:
Ruby
Diamond
Emerald
Garnet

Or my Orpingtons after flowers:
Daisy
Petunia
Orchid
Violet
Snowbell

My Easter Eggers all have names I associate with storybook witches:
Hilda
Grizelda
Hazel
Esmerelda

My son named my 4 pekin bantams. He likes star wars. We have 2 ginger ones called wookie and chewy, a black called Mrs darth vader and a grey called princess leia.

Out on our farm we've had some bad luck naming our favorite animals. As soon as they get a cute name the seem to die! But here's the list of our chickies and other animals for this year:

Rocky (the llama)
Meaty (the king rooster)
Booboo (the hens favorite best friend)
Mama (our hatcher)
Grandma (seriously, how did she make it this long?!)
Auggie (the golden retriever)

The death list:
Jelly (our favorite turkey, death by fox)
Oreo a.k.a. Quasimodo (death by us due to malformation of the spine)
Handsome (the pretty rooster, death by fighting)
Pubert (the sweetest baby chick, death by the forces of nature)
