Anyone's opinion what's the best goose?

that's hard to say each breed has different characteristics. My white Chinese lay a lot of eggs but are mean and my Africans aren't mean but lay fewer eggs. My barnacles are my favorite so far because of how small they are! (They are a wild breed of goose) they sound like ducks too it's really cool. I personally like wild breeds more(red breasted ,cape barren,adean,magpie,kelp,etc) but the domestics are awesome too

Sure. The best breed of goose is the breed that a given individual owns. Mine would be Toulouse. Yes, Toulouse are the best breed...said the Toulouse owner.

I have 3 breeds Toulouse/Embden/ Buff and I love them all but for calmness I have to say Toulouse and Buff. except when brooding lol.

How rich could we get if we could develop a breed of goose that was calm and accepting of humans during brooding?

Not sure what you could cross a gander with to produce a gander that would be calm during brooding. At least nothing alive.

A gander with a teddy bear maybe. Given the fact that most ganders are moody during breeding season the resulting offspring would probably be a grizzley

Yep, gander genes would probably be dominant.
