Hi, anyone know why our Cream LegBar chicken (believed to be a distant Fenton descendant) has had a partial moult BUT has grown back a beautiful grey & white tail plus patches of single or small groups of grey & white feathers. She's such a beautiful bird with normally perfect markings so this is just so odd !

How old?
Reminds me of my project Chameleons.
"Project Chameleon" sounds interesting !!
She'll turn 4yrs old in November.
Been a great buy, a very vocal number 2 in our flock pecking order, normally lays creamy coloured eggs with a pink tint so causes comments from any friends & neighbours having eggs !

My youngest changed color at the age of 2, & oldest around 4.

My new cockerels started their change around 3-10 weeks, & my new pullets, nothing. The youngsters are now 5 months old.

I tagged you to my thread if you wanted to see the Chameleons? You could probably do the samething with your girl, the trait passes on strong, but for some reason it has only showed in my cockerels so far.
