Growth on side of head

My son just noticed a growth on the side of our ISA brown’s head. She is > 6 mos old, is laying and acting normal.

Is the earlobe swollen or just scraped up?

I suggest treating it as a wound for starters. Clean it well with saline or soap and water and smear antibiotic ointment on it. It looks like a laceration.

If the swelling turns into something larger and is rock hard, it may be a tumor that isn't necessarily malignant.
