The band is dead right now, but have heard a couple openeings from S.A. lately. By the way - I am Advanced class. The last of a dying few. I monitor 28.520 almost every night so when you are bored, give a shout. There are several of us that listen for an opening. 73, Doug

I also dabbled in QRP which required the CW skills. I have WAC on less than 1 watt. Now I'm pretty much just an appliance operator.
