Here is a picture. I tried to catch her to get a better short but she was not having it. You can sort of see the goo (does sort of look like a used condom) hanging off her.
If that is a shell membrane, she probably needs extra calcium. I use liquid 23% calcium gluconate from the cattle section of tractor supply. Dose I use is 100 mg/kg (0.2 ml per pound) orally once or twice a day until they start laying normal eggs. One should also offer free choice oyster shell.
