Has any of your ducks done this?

I grew up on a farm and I only had one male duck that lived out in the pasture with the sheep. I think he thought he was a sheep...more like the leader of the sheep cuz in the winter I could see an orange bill and feet walking in the snow with sheep following. I'm just glad this is normal behavior for Millie. She kind of goes into a trance and lets me pet her whole body with both hands. Then after a smidge of time she snaps out of it and stands back up. To bad I couldn't rent a drake like farmers can rent a buck or a bull.

This is what my Indian Runner female was doing to my Muscovy drake and even my gander. Her drake was same age as her and wasn't showing signs of mating behavior so she went for the more mature boys. lol

That's exactly what she was doing. The first time she did that I was so worried their was something wrong...Then she stood up and acted like nothing happened. It was like she was possessed.

Rudy (the drake I lost) grew up with these females. I don't really want to bring in a lone Drake into the mix cuz I don't want the rest of the flock to gang up on "The Newbie"

I don't think it matters if there are drakes. My girls play mate all the time while their drake watches.
