Soft eggs are kind of fair game for eating, once one breaks open they look for them.

So figure out why the soft eggs.
What all and how exactly are you feeding?
Is a good chicken ration and Oyster Shells always available.

Also sounds like this bird is low bird from the hanging back at feeding time.
So feed always available is important.

That is actually called "Egg Eating". I had that problem once....tried everything! Nothing worked. Fortunately, my hen only ate her own eggs and didn't touch the others. I eventually decided to let her be.

Quite possible they need more or different feed. More feed: feed them their feed by leaving it in the run or accessible all day long, put it up at night so rodents don’t get attracted. If they are messy with it, hang the feeder so the feed tray is at back height, and use a feeder with baffles, so they are less likely to swipe feed out. Better feed: higher protein. So, if you are serving layer feed then look for a higher protein, if possible. Or switch to all-flock type (but then calcium supplementation is needed, often using oyster shell), or supplement the protein with other things -just watch the salt content (no or low salt). Dry cat food moistened with water or crushed up can provide extra protein (but it is not a feed substitute). Canned meat (watch the salt), carcass of cooked chicken (or similar) -they will pick the bones clean. Dry Catfish feed or fish food are both high in protein, but not a substitute for chicken feed, supplement only.

Pecking order - this can cause one to be singled out and actually not get enough to eat. Solution is to put out 2 feeders/2 water sources spaced apart so the bully cannot prevent eating/drinking at both sources.

Fake eggs and collecting eggs: these work in tandem to help. But, you have some chickens that are focused at moment an egg is laid.

Treats: eliminate any and all treats for now. They need to only eat feed that is properly formulated for them. Treats dilute proper nutrition, and since there may be a nutritional deficiency aspect to these problems, then hold off on treats for now.

Distractions. Provide outdoor roosts (can even be an old wagon, old chair, old bench, etc) in the run or outdoors. Amazing how this can help keep birds apart and better behaved.

Good luck!

X2. Possibly not enough calcium to make shells strong, and more than one feeding station so the low girl can eat separately if necessary.
