This chick turned 11 weeks old this week and it has a small light colored comb and small wattles. I would think she is a hen, but her body shape is that of a rooster and he still hasn't grown his tail in like some of my others. What do you think- male or female??

It's very hard to tell from that angle. It would be easier if you had pics from the side rather than above.

looks like a pullet from what i can see and all r cuties.

the color too. a hen is a female over a year old anything under is called a pullet. in boys a cockeral is under a year and over is a cock or rooster.

Hackle feathers don't look pointy enough to me. I'd say pullet.

If she had some tail feathers I'd say she was great looking!

Thanks for the responses. Looks like it's leaning toward a pullet:)...I will try to get a picture from the side today. A white Leghorn is the father of all the chickens. The mother is either a RIR, Buff Orpington, Wyandotte, or an EE(wheaten and golden laced). Any ideas on which could be her mother?? I was thinking maybe an EE.
Also, it there a name for her color?
