Here's a picture of my Easter Egger. For the last couple of weeks, I've noticed that the head feathers are losing their vanes. Four months ago I introduced a couple of Buff Orpingtons at which time the BOs would pick on the EE. I haven't seen this behavior recently, but sometimes I see the EE pick on the BO now. The EE has been a good, healthy egg producer all year (stopped about 6 weeks ago). There's usually been a fair amount of white EE feathers in the coop all year, even before the BOs got there. It even seems a little scrawnier now.

What's up with those head feathers?

Looks like she's molting. Those are pinfeathers that you're seeing, those will break open to reveal new feathers once she's done.
And I agree with the above, it's time to trim her nails.
