I installed the Pullet-Shut door on my coop about a month ago and I LOVE it. It was easy for me to install and works perfectly (the solar one).

This is what I have to cool my "She Shed" brooder.

I cut a large hole and used a box fan we already had with a grating over the outside to keep animals out -- this is from Amazon ~$15.00. It comes on and runs the fan @ 78, turns off @ ~70.

My pup got heat stroke when we got stopped in traffic down in Florida. A tanker flipped and they shut down the highway. Redirecting traffic took hours and our truck had no ac.
He was on my lap and went limp. Eyes rolled back and he wasn’t responsive! It was terrifying!
Do you suppose there is a way to set a fan in a window and have it on a timer? Maybe use shade cloth to shade the coop if it sits in the sun?

I would love to get something like this but my coop is a shed with sliding doors. The only automatic openers I could find were $1000+.

You need a pretty large intake vent, which we already had in the attic/loft of this barn style shed. Put the big box fan on the opposite side -- up high over the doors is where mine is.
